What are the implications of the word of power?
⦁ The words that I speak to you, they are spirit and life. John 6:63
⦁ He sent forth his word and his word heals them and delivers them from their destruction. Ps 107:20
⦁ Once our God has spoken it is done
⦁ God is the Almighty and all powerful, what he speaks is therefore power. Gen 17:1.

The Word of Power – Its Characteristics
⦁ Man shall live by it – Matt 4:4
⦁ It cannot be broken – John 10:3
⦁ It is always tried and it stands – 2 Sam 22:31
⦁ It increases – Acts 6:2
⦁ It can be received or rejected – Acts 8:14; 2 Cor 4:2; 1 Thess 2:13
⦁ It brings faith – for all things and to please God – Rom 10:17
⦁ It is an armour and a sword for defence – 2 Cor 6:7; Eph 6:17

Now that we know that the word of God is a word of power and we know its characteristics, what should we do?
⦁ We must not joke at all with it
⦁ We must not take it for granted; we must believe it
⦁ We must expect a performance
⦁ All that we need is in the word of power

Examples of What the Word of Power can Do
⦁ Through it, the world we see was created – Gen 1:1
⦁ Through it, the world we do not see was created – Heb 11:3
⦁ Through it, destinies are determined – Abraham in Gen 12
⦁ Through it, there is great deliverance – Israel out of Egypt in Ex 12,14
⦁ Through it, we have precious promises – 2 Peter 1:4
⦁ Through it, Jesus came into the world – John 1:14
⦁ Through it, salvation is received – Rom 3:23

Without the Word of Power, What is our Hope? Rom 7:24
⦁ Without the word of power, man is forever lost – Luke 15:24
⦁ Without the acceptance of the word of power, man is under the control of satan – 2 Cor 4:4
⦁ Without the word of power, there is no hope – Eph 2:12
⦁ Without the word of power, all the blessings and benefits in Christ Jesus are denied and lost – Eph 2:12
⦁ Without the word of power, we cannot become children of God – John 1:12

CONCLUSION
Gen 12:1-4; Matt 27:5; Matt 4:4
Abraham received the word of power and became the father of many nations. Judas Iscariot rejected the word of power and he ended in destruction.
Beloved, I beseech you to accept the word of power. Live in the word of power. Live by the word of power. A great destiny and future lies in wait for you.
