A Sure Pathway To Living An Overcoming Christian Life.
BIBLE TEXT: Mathew 8:16-17 | Luke 8:26-36
INTRODUCTION
The Bible is explicitly clear that healing and wholeness are God’s perfect will for everybody, provided some certain conditions are met – (Exo 15:26; Matt 8:2-3). However since the fall of man sicknesses and diseases are now part of human existence and the only way out of all afflictions and oppression of the devil is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mal 4:2; Lk 4:18; Acts 4:9-12
In our study today we shall consider some bible facts and conditions for healing, and lastly the purpose why God heals the sick
(A) BIBLE FACTS ON HEALINGS:
1. Sicknesses and Diseases are not in God’s perfect plan for humans from the beginning.- Gen1:27-28,31
2. There is a connection between sins and diseases. – Deut 28, John 5:14, Psalm 103:3. James 5:14-15
3. The sacrificial death of Jesus Christ covered both sins and diseases. – Isaiah 53:4-4, Mark 2:3-11
4. God can initiate healings. – Luke13:10-13, John 5:5-9, Acts 3:2-12, Luke 7:11-17
5. You can initiate your healing through prayer and faith. – Matt 8:5-8; Mark 10:46-52, Matt 9:18-25
6. God is still healing today. – Heb.13:8; Ps 119:89
(B) HEALED FOR A PURPOSE:
Our God is a God of purpose and so He heals for a purpose. Let’s consider some of the reasons why God heals.
1. So that He can show his compassion – Luke 7:13; Matt 7:8-11; Mark 10:47-49
2. So as to fulfil His purpose for coming into the world. – Matt 8:16-17; 1 John 3:8
3. So that you can serve him. – Matt8:14-15, 2 Kings 5:17
4. So that he can use you to heal and deliver others. – Mk 16:18, Matt 10:1, John 14:12
5. So that you can tell the world about Him. – Mk 16:15; Luke 8:26-36
(C) HEALING AND THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL
Lk 9:11; Acts 3:1-12; Acts 3:16; Acts 10:38; 2 Cor 5:19; 1 Tim1:11; 1 Tim 1:14
1. We are healed because of the love of God, promise of God and as benefits of being children of God.
2. We are healed to be able to show proof of the healing promise and power of God
3. Healings are part of the promise of God and salvation
4. We are to preaching salvation, the plan and power of God to heal all sicknesses and diseases.
5. We are to preaching salvation in the reality of God to both save, heal, deliver, set free and the promise of divine health.
CONCLUSION:
There is a world of sick and dying people all around us and their eternal destinies. Salvation and deliverance from satanic bondage is tied to what you do with the gospel.
Will you go and tell them Jesus Christ already paid for their forgiveness, healings and bondage?
Will you tell them if they can only believe and obey the gospel they will be saved, healed and set free?
You have tasted of his saving grace and healing power, Now is the time to tell the world.
