PURPOSE OF RAPTURE

INTRODUCTION

Rapture is a very important promise in the chronology of end time events the doctrine of the second coming of Christ a redemptive plan of God to restore what was lost in Adam and must be properly understood if we are to be ready and worthy to escape the coming tribulations. At rapture true believers in Christ will disappear from the earth in a twinkling of the eye and all resurrected saints that has died in Christ to take them to be with him in heaven

Rapture is God promise reprieve to protect the church from the wrath that will be pour on the earth before the establishment of his messianic kingdom Zeph 1:15-18 Isaiah 13:9-13

PURPOSE OF RAPTURE

1.It marks the end of church age formally ends the dispensation of the church on earth as only the backsliders’ nominal believers and followers of false religion will remain Lk 21:35-36

2. To take all the living and resurrected saints away before tribulations Lk 21:34-36 2Thess 2:8

3. It is an escape from the disaster era of divine judgment, a dramatic rescue operation in which true believers are removed Lk 17:26-30 in the similitude of events In Gen 6:13 and Gen 19:13-15

4. To change the bodies of all faithful saints from mortality to immortality 1Corinth 15:51-52, Phil 3:21

5. To assemble the saints for the super of the lamb Rev 19:7-10

6. Its mark the commencement of our journey to our eternal heavenly abode

7, We will receive the glorious body that’s not subjected to weakness a celestial body 1Corinth 15:35-47

8. It leads to the acceptance of our royal and judicial positions where the glorified will judge the world with Christ in righteousness and also reign with him 1Corinth 6:2 Rev 5:10

9. It is a summon to appear before judgement seat of Christ to receive things done in the body whether good or bad 2Corinth 5:10 Rom 14:10

10. It’s to separate the true believers and the nominal ones within the church and ensure we

are not weigh in Gods balance Matt 25:10-13

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RAPTURE

. Those with genuine salvation Matt 7:21

. Those that are waiting for the appearance of Jesus

. Those that are purified 1Jn 3:2-3

. Those that are in Christ that believe in his death and resurrection 1Thess 4:14

. Those that are holy as the scripture says anyone that desire to see his kingdom must be holy Heb 12:14

. Goodness and kindness are also a prerequisite to be taken at rapture Jn 5:29

. You must be worthy as Christ admonished us to be watchful and pray always that we may be counted worthy to escape the incoming trouble Lk 21:36

. We must be without spot or wrinkle Eph 5:27

. We must continually walk in the spirit as works of flesh distracts Gal 5:19-21

. We must walk in the light as Christ the source of light and light of the world Jn 8:12

CONCLUSION
knowing about rapture brings us hope and very critical as our position after rapture will determine either we will reign with him in heaven which is his utmost desire for us or be cast into hell.
