Introduction
Spiritual warfare suggests there are levels, categories and types of warfares. What is a warfare? Why is there warfare? Warfare suggests that there are ways to fight or engage in warfares and there are ways not to engage in warfare in other to win or overcome.
Warfare may also suggest that it is a long or very long warfare in terms of timeline. This world is first spiritual before it is physical. It was made by the spiritual and comes from the spiritual. It is also return to the spiritual at the end of every manโs journey in the physical world.
Therefore, every man whether born again or not is involved in the spiritual plane and realm of existence
As there are physical conflicts, agreements, disagreement, discussions, plans and conclusions, so are there also in the spiritual. We relate and deal with God from the spiritual so also the devil. Jesus said this in John 4:23-24 | John 8:44 | 1 Corinthians 15:49-50 – Being engaged is not optional. Knowingly and unknowingly, we are engaged in it. We are either loosing or winning. We are either captives, puns, agents, ruling or dominating and winning.
Warfares and Their Purpose – Isaiah 30:28
There should be no reason for warfare if there are no gains or losses. There are good things to gain or lose in warfare. These are the two most important reasons for warfare. To either take or lose. To be taken or take. To become a master or become a slave/servant. To be victorious or be a failure. To lose eternally or gain eternally. To end up with God in heaven or in hell with Satan.
There are warfares because the kingdom of darkness and Satan has an expiry date. There is a time when it shall cease and no longer exist. It therefore wants to take advantage of the time to make as much gains as possible.
He is also interested in making many not to be part of the glorious kingdom of God – this is one of the most if not the most important reasons. It is for the Lordโs Will of saving so many and giving them eternal life not to be fulfilled.
It is a warfare against the Will and purpose of God for man. Luke 22:31; Luke 22:3; 2 Samuel 10 and 11- Spiritual Warfare is in the realm of your making a choice to be on the side of the Lord all the time. It is not permanent. There is a need to respond and take a decision in all temptations and circumstances.
You Are Involved In This Warfare – So long you are created or born, you have automatically enlisted in this warfare. There is no choice for anyone to seat on the fence in this warfare.
It Is Spiritual Warfare With Both Spiritual And Physical Implications That Are Great and Defining
Acts 1:16-20; 2 Sam 12:7-14 – Do not forget but remember that it is a spiritual warfare. Being spiritual makes it more potent, dangerous and impactful. Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us this clarity. The spiritual warfare is in compartments and degrees. (for territories, for lands, for nations, air, for seas, for families, for kindreds, kingdoms, for families, for prosperity and for poverty) Every man under the sun is a partaker in this spiritual warfare.
