INTRODUCTION
Do You Know? Have You observed? Have You Understood? …that God made Man king over all other things, but not king over himself, the Man… You cannot be king over yourself. It is God that must be King over Man. Is God your king or are you king over yourself? Remember a king is worshipped, honoured and revered. Remember A king is feared and obeyed?
It is God That Is King Indeed – It is the Lord God Almighty that is king indeed over all. In Genesis 14, Abram showed our relationship with God as our King and other men that are called kings. Isaiah 9:7 | Luke 1:33 | Ex 5:1-2 | Dan 4:28-33 – settles the matter of who truly is the real King.
Some men do not and have decided that there should be no power and no God that are beyond his knowledge. Men, fill themselves with so much human and material knowledge that there is no place for the supernatural. They cannot hold more knowledge and revelation of God, so they say there is no more.
1. Men Dethrone God As King Just As Lucifer Tried To Dethrone God As King – Isa 14:12-19
The man is destroying the earth given to him. He wants to go to places not assigned to him for destruction as well. Man Dethrones God Just As Lucifer Purposed To Dethrone God. He wants to put himself on God’s throne as Lucifer aspired to do. Isa 14; Ezekiel 32
2. The Description of The Man King – 1 Sam 8:10-20
Further Description of The Limited Human King
A king is installed. A king has power. A king has a kingdom or domain. A king has many responsibilities. A king rules. But our God has king. He is the king of Kings. His reign is eternal. He is not installed or chosen.
His domain is the heavens and the earth.
He made all. He owns all. He kills and makes alive. Cannot be overthrown. His kingdom is an everlasting Kings. He rules and reigns over all. All are under his command. He determines and decided what happens. All other Kings bow before.They die He does not. They are limited He is not limited. They depend on him He does not depend on them.
3. How Does Man Dethrone God and Enthrone Himself or Herself? – Isa 9:6-7 | Rom 1:26-27 | Isa 11:1-15
Rejection of the Original for the Counterfeit. Rejection of the knowledge of God. Rejection As Who God Says He Is. Refusing to accept Jesus as Lord, Saviour and Master. Pride. Seeking other gods and Setting up other modes of worship. Worshipping the Lord how he like not the way God prescribes. Living in Iniquity, Unrighteousness and Sin. Not thinking of reigning with the Lord in humility now and always
4. What Are The Implications of You As Your Own king? – Prov 24:10 | Rev 3:17 | Job 21:18 | Ps 1:4
Your strength is small. You will lock wisdom and understanding. You are not on the side of God. God is not on your side. The promises of God are not sure.
The word of God cannot work for you. There shall be an end to your kingdom. When the enemy arises you will be alone – there shall be no help from the Lord
You are a worker of iniquity and an unprofitable servant – Micah 2:1 | Matt 7:23 | Matt 25:30
They are also called goats – Matt 25:32-33
5. What Are The Implications of God As Your King? – When the Lord God is your king – Ps 91 is your portion and benefits – Ps 23:1-6 is your lot and portion – Ps 1:1-3 is your portion and blessings – then you are his friends and subjects like in Matt 5:2-16 – then the fruit of the spirit is your lot – Gal 5:22-23 – the gifts of the Holy Spirit belong to you. 1 Cor 12:4-8.
CONCLUSION:
Who is the king of Glory? – Ps 24:6-8 – Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Eternal king, mighty king, loving king, saving king, all powerful, all knowing, all present, oldest king, everlasting king, almighty king, miraculous king, forgiving king, king maker, king keeper, king restorer…etc.
He must be enthroned forever as your king. Your life must be his throne. He must reign and rule with all dominion. We shall reign with the King of Glory eternally. – 2 Tim 2:12; Rev 20:6
