A Sure Pathway To Living An Overcoming Christian Life.
The Expected Christian Life and Description
Bible Text: Matt. 28:18-20, Lk. 9:26
INTRODUCTION
The believers’ mandate is a command to the believers from our God and our Father. No father will be happy if his child continually neglects his mandate – Ezra 7:26, Jam 2:10
THE IMPLICATIONS
1. Neglecting the mandate is denying the Gospel. When you don’t, you portray that you are ashamed of the gospel; and specifically of the Lord Jesus. Rom. 1:16, Lk. 9:26
2. Neglecting the mandate is denying the power – You are saying that you don’t believe in the power of the Gospel to transform people. Rom. 1:16, 2 Cor. 5:17
THE DANGERS
1. You will have Blood-soaked Hands. 2 Cor. 5:10-11, Ezk. 33:18-21
And nothing else may be acceptable from your hand. 1 Chr. 17:4. Yes, some people will reject the good news of salvation you offer them but as Ezk. 3:19 tells us, such people will die in their sins but you won’t be responsible for their demise in hell.
2. You will disgrace yourself. 1 Cor. 15:34
3. Angels will not obey you. Heb. 1:14, Lk. 12:8,9
4. Eternal shame. Mk. 8:38
5. Divine curse. Jer. 48:10
THE DAMAGES
1. Fewer Church Members.
The Souls are out there and have to be brought into the church. Matt. 9:37, Lk. 14:23
2. Enlargement of hell. Isa. 5:14
Hell enlarges itself daily as thousands of unsaved souls are dying daily. So each day you neglect the mandate you are a contributor to this enlargement.
3. We could bring serious spiritual harm to our country. Gen. 18:23-33
If we abandon soul-winning, would that hasten God’s judgment upon our nation? A nation with a majority of genuine Christians is far better off than a nation without Christians or with Christians in the minority. Pro. 14:34
YOU ARE AT RISK OF:
1. Losing Your Heavenly Reward. Dan. 12:32, 1 Thess. 2:19, Rev. 3:11.
So, if you don’t want to lose the precious rewards that come with soul-winning, go out there and win as many souls as possible.
2. Losing Your Loved Ones Eternally.
Not being a soul winner who wins many perishing souls out there through personal evangelism could put you at risk of losing your loved ones to hell forever. Lk. 16:27,28
3. Ending up in hell. Jam. 4:17, 1 Sam. 15:23
CONCLUSION
I hope the above consequences of not winning souls to Jesus Christ will act as a wake-up call for you to start winning souls to Christ if you haven’t been doing so until now.
